A friend took us on a walk on the South Downs on Friday and it happened to be during poppy season. I found it impossible to capture the feeling of walking through the mass of vivid red blooms – it’s something that really needs to be experienced first hand to be fully appreciated.
I guess by now you can tell that I am partial to red tulips. Their striking rich colour and smooth silky petals are simply lovely. These are growing behind a row of daffodils whose flowers have already dropped.
So now that Spring is officially a month late I am looking longingly at my older photos. Can’t wait to see this again.
