“Gratitude is the fairest blossom which springs from the soul.” Henry Ward Beecher
Photo 1: Yellow roses in the breeze
A friend I’ve had for more than two decades recently succumbed to cancer and was laid to rest. She fought bravely and throughout her entire battle she resisted and she lived! While out on my walk the next day, camera in hand, I was very aware of the joy and beauty that surrounded me, of the miracle of life and the wonder of simply breathing.
Photo 2: Gratitude
I am grateful to have known her and to have been inspired by her indomitable spirit, so today I am sharing these miniature yellow roses in honor of her life and our friendship. It’s always a good day to appreciate good friends.
From a distance I thought this cluster of yellow flowers in Richmond Park looked like Lupins but upon closer inspection they looked like daffodils although I had never seen any shaped like this before.
