St. John’s Wort or Golden Cup
Took this photo of Hypericum patulum in a friend’s garden. The shrub has dark green leaves and beautiful large yellow blooms. Apparently got it’s name from early Christians because it blooms at the time when people traditionally celebrate St. John the Baptist’s birth (24 June).
